One of the things I am thankful for this Thanksgiving is that I have a week to spend with my family! The rest is nice, but spending time together is even better. We are so blessed and the following videos were taken during our West Texas Thanksgiving trip. Hope you enjoy...

Chelsea's shower
Since Chelsea has gotten her BlackBerry, she occasionally sends me updates throughout the day. I found the following amusing...
I just got a shower and mj was awake and sitting in her bumbo in the bathtub. She did amazing. Everytime the shower started to fog I would rub the door and talk to her and she thought it was hilarious. Whoever built this bathroom was brilliant!

New House!
It was a year ago this month that we were 100% out of debt. As of yesterday, in one fell swoop of the pen, we are now back in debt, but we have now purchased our first home! We are excited about the prospects, but there is much work to be done, and projects to undertake. I am excited about McKenna having a yard, and Chelsea having a chance to decorate. It will be about 3 weeks before we move in, but that will give us a few weeks to paint, have floors redone, and prepare for the move. With my brother and sister-in-law a block and a half away, it will be nice to borrow eggs, milk, and tools, as well as have place to drop off our child when we want to go out to dinner... :)
Baby Blessing and Halloween!
From the Baby Blessing Sunday at Prestoncrest Church of Christ, to McKenna's sock monkey halloween costume, it has been a great October. With the closing of our new house yesterday, it has been a busy time, hence the delay in blog postings. Resolve to do better in the future. Make it a great Saturday!

Fun With Condiments Pt. 1

Had a great trip to Abilene and Andrews this past weekend! Grandparents had a blast with McKenna and I think she enjoyed herself also. Who would think that mustard and ketchup could be so amusing, but when Patrick's dad gets ahold of the bottles, McKenna thinks it is the funniest thing she has seen in quite a while. The following 3 videos demonstrate McKenna's amazement...

McKenna's Newest Trick

McKenna's latest trick is to give mommy kisses. Little wet and slobbery, but Chelsea does not seem to mind.
Little less than a month away from closing on the new house. It's been a long process, but the light is at the end of the tunnel. Did not get up to run my 16 this a.m. Actually I did get up, and even got dressed, but fatigue from a long week hit me, and I ended up sleeping on the couch for another couple of hours. Nevertheless, I do feel rested, and plan to be up at 4 a.m. tomorrow morning to tackle it again! I will blame McKenna for waking me up 2-3 times last night.
Our daughter is the car that makes the strange noise that causes you to take your car into the repair shop. But when the mechanic takes a look or drives it around, the noise never occurs. In the same way, McKenna will talk and do some pretty amazing tricks (we are easily amused), but stick a camera in her face or put her on the phone to speak to our parents...and NOTHING! She is sly, but I have age on my side. And so the battle begins...

McKenna's First Garage Sale
McKenna's First Garage Sale-
Fortunately, no one offered the asking price of #3.50 for the baby, but we did manage to get rid of some stuff and make a little money in the process.
My day started at 3:45 a.m. with a 14 mile run, and I was able to finish up by 6:30. Looking forward to being home tonight and watching Tech/Texas.
