At the request of Katie Fariss

It is a crazy time amongst the Fariss Family right now. With school, tutoring, moving, trying to train for a marathon, and still get to see McKenna and Chelsea, it is hard to find time to fit everything in. Nevertheless, we had a great week! We should be moved in to the new house this time next week, so it is important for us to use this weekend to accomplish some things.

The floors are complete and look great! Furniture was on the list, but will have to take a backseat while we use the status quo temporarily. My phone took a dive this week, so we found a great deal and got 2 blackberrys for $50. The hope is that we can share pics and video much easier.

That is the goal and we will see. McKenna has not slept well the last 2 nights, thus neither have I or Chelsea. At 3:30 a.m. this morning, I had the opportunity to learn more about my Blackberry since MJ was awake. Hoping to grab a nap pretty quick since she is asleep in her swing, but that could change in the blink of an eye.

Just wanted to take a second to brag on the incredible job that Chelsea does day in and day out. Getting to stay with MJ for 2 brief periods today helps me to realize what a tough job she has, and how hard it is to accomplish what is on my list. We are truly blessed and very thankful, and I am even more so for the job that my wife does!

Since Chelsea is out running errands and she has the camera, my only option is to share a few older pics that were taken earlier in October. Check back later tonight, and I will try to post some newer ones. Have a great weekend and we hope you all will come see us in the new house!

New House!

It was a year ago this month that we were 100% out of debt. As of yesterday, in one fell swoop of the pen, we are now back in debt, but we have now purchased our first home! We are excited about the prospects, but there is much work to be done, and projects to undertake. I am excited about McKenna having a yard, and Chelsea having a chance to decorate. It will be about 3 weeks before we move in, but that will give us a few weeks to paint, have floors redone, and prepare for the move. With my brother and sister-in-law a block and a half away, it will be nice to borrow eggs, milk, and tools, as well as have place to drop off our child when we want to go out to dinner... :)
